halo again.. now since my lecturer says that we do not need to do this blog so... so.. formal, i just wanna talk bout little bout myself XD.. hmm think i shuld start what i like and end at what i like too...lazy wanna talk bout other things lah.. im from sabah...and now studying in perlis, so what i miss the most is the food back there..here the food ah..haiz...T.T . Now as u see in my profile i like badminton lor..but here in my uni i dun get to play lah..so lame huh? BUT one thing here haha can play DOTA.. first time i see dota i said that was a boring game and wouldnt want to try..but after being forced by frens to play now I'm the one asking frens to play LOL... I read a newspaper article talking about ICT Launching in Malacca, this article almost took up 1 whole page yet the pictures showed were youngsters using the computers in a cybercafe to play DOTA..HahAaH... konon nia...lol not one of them surfing the net..if i still hav the article i will upload the pic..but too bad lost it...T.T

Ice Breaker
Hmm..The reason I created this blog because it is one of my assignment (to expose students with blogs)...and the other reason is this is one of my interest in the field of study. Why "control?".. from my point of view I see that in mortal world when we want to manipulate something we have to know to control it. I didn't mean to manipulate human beings but the law of physics that leads us to advancement of technologies. For example, we need to control the ICT not the ICT controls us. So in order to control the ICT, we need to adapt ourselves with the advancement of ICT. That is why now of days, ICT has been applied in education throughout the world so that the future generations are not neglected from the advancement of technologies in the days to come.

ICT Application in Mechatronics Education
Past and current results found that ICT in education was not famous in the old days, but today, throughout the world almost every corner we can see the implementation of ICT. Same goes to education today, students get to learn about ICT in their studies and are given chances to apply their ICT skills throughout their education period. As a result, engineering education has experienced substantive changes brought about by this new technology. Likewise in Mechatronics Engineering education, many courses requires ICT because in Mechatronics Engineering it requires knowledge of electronics, mechanics and software. Students will learn about electromechanical that are electronics and mechanical subjects for example Programmable Logic Control (PLC).

The Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
The world (PLC) market has a strong growth where is driven by a vibrant and fast-growing economy that is giving high priority to establishing new factories and facilities and upgrading existing facilities. A programmable logic controller (PLC) is a digital computer used for automation of industrial processes. PLCs were invented as replacements for automated systems that would use hundreds or thousands of relays, cam timers, and drum sequencers. Often, a single PLC can be programmed to replace thousands of relays.
Many of the earliest PLCs expressed all decision making logic in simple ladder logic which appeared similar to electrical schematic diagrams. The electricians were quite able to trace out circuit problems with schematic diagrams using ladder logic. This program notation was chosen to reduce training demands for the existing technicians. Other early PLCs used a form of instruction list programming, based on a stack-based logic solver.
The functionality of the PLC has evolved over the years to include sequential relay control, motion control, process control, distributed control systems and networking. The data handling, storage, processing power and communication capabilities of some modern PLCs are approximately equivalent to desktop computers.Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering at UniMAP offers a variety of courses ranging from basics to more advance courses..Some of the courses that i have going through are applied mechanics, workshop practice, computer aided drafting, computer programing, etc. One of the course that all Mechatronics students have to take is Programmable Logic Control. The syllabus include electrical controller equipment, controller types, PLC introduction, Basic function of PLC and application, Function of output controller and application.
The course outcomes are students are expected to be able to understand and explain the type of components in an electrical controller, students are able to understand the basic concept of PLC and its applications in industrial control application, and students are able to do a simple timer/counter programming , editing and program observation.
